Wake Forest University’s Summer Exploration Program allows you to learn on campus. This program provides middle school students with hands-on learning opportunities to explore the world of STEM. In a week-long experiential STEM program, spark curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
The Wake Forest Summer Exploration Program engages students in a week-long STEM program led by Wake Forest staff. Investigate science, technology, engineering, and math in conjunction with topics of interest. On-campus, students in the Middle School will apply their knowledge through hands-on experiences, labs, workshops, and simulations. Different STEM Adventures are available in the curriculum, allowing students to delve deeper into STEM topics. Students will form friendships with peers from all over the world while learning alongside Wake Forest undergraduate student mentors.
Wake Forest University Pre-College Programs, which began in 2014, include the Summer Immersion Program, Summer Exploration Program, and College LAUNCH for Leadership. These programs serve rising seventh graders through incoming college freshmen by connecting them to higher education opportunities and introducing them to everything Wake Forest University has to offer.
Summer Immersion is a week-long immersive experience for rising high school sophomores through incoming college freshmen. The program is intended to provide an introduction to college life as well as the opportunity to investigate a possible career path or field of study.
Summer Exploration is a week-long residential learning experience for rising seventh through ninth grade students. Explorers will participate in hands-on activities while on campus.
The College LAUNCH for Leadership Program is a FREE nine-month college preparatory program for high-achieving, underrepresented juniors in Winston-Salem and Charlotte. The program aims to raise social consciousness, raise awareness of higher education opportunities, develop leadership skills, and expand our university’s passion for Pro Humanitate in our local communities.
