Whitfield School is a small, college-preparatory learning community that fosters excellent habits of mind, productive social skills, and personal integrity in an innovative, student-centered environment. Founded in 1952, Whitfield School is an independent, coeducational college preparatory day school for grades 6_12. Located on a 26 1/2 acre campus in west St. Louis County, Whitfields demanding academic program coupled with the support of a dedicated, world class faculty prepares graduates for both the college experience and life beyond. With an average academic class size of 12 and a school size of 400, Whitfield is able to develop and maintain a community of families who value mutual respect and personal responsibility. Students are encouraged to take part in activities including visual and performing arts, 23 athletic teams, 23 clubs and organizations, and community service.
