The MIT Women’s Technology Program is a four-week academic program in the summer after 11th grade that introduces students to engineering through hands-on seminars, labs, and team-based projects. Students do not require any prior knowledge of engineering or computer science. WTP is a women-centered, collaborative network dedicated to strengthening historically underrepresented and underprivileged engineering students.
WTP is intended for students who are enthusiastic about learning, have proved their capacity to succeed in math and science in high school, and have no prior (or very little) experience in engineering, with few possibilities to study these subjects.
