Wpi Pre Collegiate Summer Programs 2026

The Pre-Collegiate Summer Programs at Worcester Polytechnic Institute provides high-quality STEM programming to high schoolers and their families – with a special emphasis on increasing interest and access for youth interested in STEM. We provide collaborative enrichment experiences that inspire exploration and discovery. Our programs highlight areas such as robotics, physics, video game design, music, computer science, the humanities and arts, and much more. No matter a students interest or experience level, POP programs have something to offer. In the Launch program for 9th and 10th-grade students will leverage research and technology to find solutions to current problems in a variety of scientific fields alongside WPIs renowned faculty. Students will be able to step in the shoes of a video game designer, computer programmer, crime scene investigator, or robotics engineer. Registration opens on February 15, 2021, and fills on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Frontiers program, running for over 35 years, is a program for rising 11th and 12th-grade students who want to explore STEM through a collegiate lens. Students will be challenged to explore the outer limits of their knowledge in STEM and explore unsolved global issues, along with a touch of humanities through another aspect such as financial literacy, business entrepreneurship, ethics of artificial intelligence, or other options. The application is now open and fills on a first-come, first-serve basis. Frontiers for Credit is a pre-college program designed for rising 11th and 12th graders who are interested in earning college credit and experiencing an academically fulfilling college course. Students enroll in a WPI undergraduate course, lasting 5-weeks and taught by WPIs world-renowned faculty. ?Upon completion, students receive an official college transcript. The application is now open. WPI courses fill on a first-come, first-serve basis.
