Muskegon Community College, an associate degree-granting institution of higher education, is a center for lifelong learning which provides persons the opportunity to attain their educational goals by offering programs that respond to individual, community and global needs. Founded in 1926, Muskegon Community College is the fourth oldest community college in the state of Michigan. MCC offers more than 80 degree and certificate options that provide our students with not only a well-rounded education, but also prepare them for today’s in-demand and emerging career fields. Our academic departments are dedicated to providing MCC students with the knowledge and critical thinking skills they will need beyond the classroom. MCC has 13 men’s and women’s intercollegiate sports the most of any Michigan community college. Serving the region, MCC offers classes at its main campus in Muskegon, at its Grand Haven Community Center offices in Ottawa County, at three Newaygo County locations NCRESA and The Steam in Newaygo and the Quest in Fremont, and in Coopersville. MCC’s University Park Golf Course is the only community college-owned golf course in the state. In addition, a 15-acre sylvan setting situated adjacent to the MCC main building, the Kasey Hartz Nature Area is an outdoor earning laboratory of trails, streams, fauna and flora protected for the enjoyment and education of students of all ages. In-district residents pay $3,265 in tuition and fees per academic year.
