St. Francis College is a private, independent, co-educational, urban college whose Franciscan and Catholic traditions underpin its commitment to academic excellence, spiritual and moral values, physical fitness, social responsibility, and life-long learning. Rooted in the vibrant community of Brooklyn Heights and minutes from Manhattan, St. Francis College is the Small College of Big Dreams. Small classes are taught only by our nearly 300 distinguished faculty members, outstanding internship opportunities train students to navigate an increasingly global world, and a network of highly successful alumni actively mentor both undergraduate and graduate students. The College’s emphasis on life-long education and service-oriented leadership puts all students on the path to meaningful careers and personal success. Nineteen academic departments offer 72 major and minor fields of study, ranging from classic liberal arts to high demand fields such as nursing, education, communications, criminal justice, management and medical technology. Graduates of our five-year combined Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting regularly accept jobs at Big Four Accounting Firms as well as public and private companies. Students participate on 19 NCAA Division I athletic teams, including Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Volleyball and the nationally ranked Men’s Water Polo team and Women’s Bowling team. The Franciscan Tradition of the College ensures a welcoming environment that supports students and helps develop the whole person. St. Francis College challenges all students to expand their learning experience beyond the classroom and become an integral part of the community. They belong to more than 40 clubs, fraternities, sororities, and honor societies. Social responsibility and mutual respect are among the values that enable St. Francis students to achieve their dreams.
