The University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM) is a teaching and research university whose mission is successful education of both undergraduate and graduate students and delivery of services that support economic development, especially to employers and communities in its region. The University of Louisiana at Monroe has a history almost as rich and beautiful as the bayou that winds through its 238-acre campus. From its inception, it was constructed with one goal in mind to serve the educational needs and desires of the people of northeast Louisiana.
